Privacy Policy

At Think Engine, your privacy and the protection of your personal information are important. It is our policy to comply with applicable privacy laws and to use your Personal Information for your benefit, to provide you with the Service (via Jagoan.co.id or Jagoan mobile applications), to enhance your experience with the Think Engine family of products and to improve our offerings.

1. Consent and Information Collection

Here are the types of information we gather.

1. Information You Give Us

We receive and store any information you enter on our Web site/s, mobile application/s or give us in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, customizing future browsing for you, improving our services, and communicating with you.

We may require your BlackBerry Messenger and / or email address(es), stored locations, address and phone number, account name and password, as well as preferences (collectively, your "Personal Information") to provide our Service (the "Service") to you.

For certain services, such as our Business Listing programs, we also request credit card or other payment account information, which we maintain in encrypted form on secure servers. We may combine the information you submit under your account with information from other Think Engine services or third parties in order to provide you with a better experience and to improve the quality of our services. For certain services, we may give you the opportunity to opt out of combining such information.

When you provide your Personal Information to us, you provide us with your consent to use your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Log information

When you access Think Engine services, our servers automatically record information that your handheld sends when you access our servers and/or information your borwser sends whenever you access visit a website. These server logs may include information such as your BlackBerry PIN, web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.

3. Automatic Information

We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, like many Web sites, we use "cookies," and we obtain certain types of information when your Web browser or mobile device accesses Jagoan.co.id or Jagoan applications, advertisements and other content served by or on behalf of Think Engine on other Web sites.

4. E-mail Communications

To help us make e-mails more useful and interesting, we often receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from Jagoan or Think Engine if your computer supports such capabilities. We also compare our customer list to lists received from other companies, in an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our customers. If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please adjust your Preferences.

5. Information from Other Sources:

We might receive information about you from other sources and add it to our account information.

6. Cookies

When you use our Services, we send one or more cookies – a small file containing a string of characters – to your computer or other device that uniquely identifies your browser or mobile device. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service, including for storing user preferences, improving search results and ad selection, and tracking user trends, such as how people search. Think Engine also uses cookies in order to provide personalized information for our users, based on their preferences and previous search choices. We may set one or more cookies in your browser when you visit a website.

1. Using your Personal Information

Think Engine may use your Personal Information within Think Engine for the following purposes:

  1. To provide the Service to you
  2. To make enhancements to the Service to provide a better experience for you;
  3. To create, manage and control your account information;
  4. To communicate with you for the purpose of informing you of changes or additions to the Service, or of the availability of any service we provide;
  5. To assess service levels, monitor traffic patterns and measure usage of different service options;
  6. To verify access rights to services and software;
  7. To conduct market research from time to time;
  8. To enforce the provisions of our legal relationship with you;

2. Information Sharing

Think Engine only shares personal information with other companies or individuals outside of Think Engine in the following limited circumstances:

  1. We have your consent. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.
  2. We provide such information to our subsidiaries, affiliated companies or other trusted businesses or persons for the purpose of processing personal information on our behalf. We require that these parties agree to process such information based on our instructions and in compliance with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
  3. We may also combine your Personal Information on an anonymous basis with other information to generate Aggregated Data for internal and commercial use and for sharing with affiliates, subsidiaries and business partners for planning and marketing purposes.
  4. We may also use personal information about customers, such as searches and clicks on our Services to displays personalized third-party advertising.

If Think Engine becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we will ensure the confidentiality of any personal information involved in such transactions and provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

3. Processing Information

Think Engine may processes personal information, but we do so only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and/or the supplementary privacy notices for specific services. In addition to the above, such purposes include:

  1. Providing our services, including the display of customized content and advertising;
  2. Auditing, research and analysis in order to maintain, protect and improve our services;
  3. Aggregating Data, which refers to processing records which have been stripped of personally identifying information, and which have been manipulated or combined to provide generalized, anonymous information. Such data may include the number of users who searched for a particular term, for example, or how many users clicked on a particular advertisement. This information does not identify you individually.
  4. Ensuring the technical functioning of our network;
  5. Protecting the rights or property of PT Think Engine Softwares or our users; and
  6. Developing new services.

3. Information security

1. Access

We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.

We restrict access to personal information to Think Engine employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

2. Data integrity

Think Engine processes personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Privacy Policy or any applicable service-specific privacy notice. We review our data collection, storage and processing practices to ensure that we only collect, store and process the personal information needed to provide or improve our services or as otherwise permitted under this Policy. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we process is accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary.

3. Accessing and updating personal information

When you use Think Engine’ services, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access to your personal information and either to correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at your request if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. We ask individual users to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected or removed before processing such requests, and we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup tapes), or for which access is not otherwise required. In any case where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort. Some of our services have different procedures to access, correct or delete users’ personal information.

4. Links and Third party Sites

The Service contains third-party advertising and links to other sites and we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of linked sites. Their privacy policies and practices may differ from our policies and practices.

This Privacy Policy applies to Think Engine services only. We do not exercise control over the sites displayed through our Services. These other sites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you.

5. Opting Out

You can decline to submit personal information to any of our Services, in which case Think Engine may not be able to provide those services to you.

If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please adjust your Preferences and/or Opt-out of our Services. (If you do not want to receive Conditions of Use and other legal notices from us, such as this Privacy Notice, those notices will still govern your use of Think Engine, and it is your responsibility to review them for changes.)
